The poster is in the format the city requires it to be to get the permit. No I do no think it would be worth having in the listing because I would be afraid it would turn off future guest. It would look like we have to many rules for people to follow while staying at our place. Knock on wood I have not had any complaints from neighbors or the city. I feel like we have it posted enough where people respect the rule.
Hi @Rebecca Yes I have added quiet hours in the description BUT as someone already mentioned here below enforcing it is the difficult part. Specially when I own a beach house and people wants to party. So finding balance to between letting the guest having a good time and letting my caretakers rest so the next day they are rested to get up early and be ready for their duties.
What I've done is to try to attract FAMILIES in the description. By catering to families versus groups of friends then I/my caretakers do not have to deal with the noisy beach goers.
That's really interesting @Sussy0 - how have you targeted families instead of groups of friends etc?
I live on the beach front and during the summer months it definitely gets a lot noisier with tourists and visitors from out of town. Lots of local businesses have the 'respect the neighbourhood' style signs which I think gives a gentle reminder.
@Rebecca I found out that the description of my listing helps me find my target audience! As an ambassador, I let my newbies know: focus on what kind of guests do you want to attract? Do so in your description. For example: “ideal for families looking for decompress, and unwind”, if I want to attract groups of friends looking to party then my description would be different.
Hi @Rebecca
Yes, we have quiet hours on our property from 10 PM to 8 AM in accordance with building regulations and out of respect for our neighbors. We kindly ask guests to keep noise levels down during these hours, especially in common areas and outdoor spaces.
Hello @Patricia2526 👋 That sounds like a great approach to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone! How do you usually remind your guests about the quiet hours during their stay?
Hi @Rebecca
Our quiet hours are clearly stated in the house rules, and I also personally remind guests by sending them a message through the app to ensure they are aware.
I followed the building's quite hours, but I didn't add them to the listing as it is already managed by the building's management.
But if my guests complained on any noisy neighbours، I inform them about the quite hours, and instructed them to raise the issue to building 's security
That's really interesting @Ahmed570 - so you don't mention them at all in your listing?
Where is it shown for guests in the building? Is it something they would be able to see for themselves?
No @Rebecca , actually, they can check these things with the building's security.
I never had any complaints against my guests, only some of guests were complaining about their neighbours.
Ciao @Rebecca ,
yes indeed!
My house in Venice is in a neighborhood where many Venetians still live and my garden with the hot tub overlooks other houses, so it is important to respect the hours of silence.
I must say that so far my guests have been very attentive and I have never received any complaints 😊

This photo gets me every time @Andrea6232 😍 - I think I'll definitely have to book your place for my first trip to Venice!
What are your quiet hours and how do you share them with the guests?
Our house is in a regular neighborhood at the lake so I aske my guests to be respectful of the neighbors. We have set a time of 11 p.m. It is a lake house so I if they are on the dock playing music, the noise will carry on the water. We have not had any issues. I trust my neighbors to notify my of any issues and then we address them.
