Why my property are showing down ?

The location of my property is extremely important because it's a water view in a place where even a couple hundred feet makes a huge difference. I've updated the pin on my desktop and saved it. Now it's showing in a completely DIFFERENT wrong location that's even WORSE than before.
At first I thought maybe AirBnB moves the location within a certain radius to prevent users from somehow identifying the address and contacting hosts directly. Research suggests that isn't the case.
This topic has been discussed many times and the prevailing response is to contact AirBnB directly (usually without luck). That's fine and I will do so... but why can't AirBnB simply place the pin properly? It shouldn't be this difficult and in touristy locations where a few doors down means a world of difference this is incredibly frustrating.
If you've got this problem, too... give this post a thumbs up and let's put it on AirBnB's support radar to be fixed.
I have exactly the same problem and have to ask my guest to use the direction I send them. The pin sends to a very undesirable place. 😞
I'm less worried about the directions AFTER they booked and more worried about the impression they get BEFORE booking. My location is much better than the one being illustrated on the map!
@Rob131 Mine is a few blocks out and my listing goes walk-about sometimes ! It's just not that accurate, maybe third party plug-in problem. I would put WATERFRONT is block capitals at the beginning of your description and your photos say the rest.
Agreed! Why not give hosts the OPTION of a button "show exact location" or "don't show exact location"? Easy fix.
I'm in the process of making another listing and the option to show exact location was offered in a tick box.
I have a similar problem, I can't write down my address because for some reason it doesn't register and it keeps changing it to a completely different address! I live up north in a quiet rural small village and the address keeps updating itself (!) to the middle of the city in an urban packed area in the center of the country!!! The pin actually works, but that helps only if visitors actually look closely at the map and try to figure out where the property is. If they only read the address, they're getting completey wrong information. I hope airbnb will read this and respond immediately.
I live in the Isle of Man and this is a real problem as the location pin sends visitors to totally the wrong place. I'm struggling to contact Airbnb - can anyone help with this?
Airbnb should make it easier for hosts to locate their property correctly - after all we know where we are located! And it can only improve the experience of guests as well as it will mean it is easier for them to get to us!
Come on Airbnb, help us out here...
I had this issue when I first started hosting but I eventually got my listing's location pinned properly using my Android mobile phone. I couldn't get it to work right on my laptop or Ipad but no problem with Android phone. Hope that helps.
exact same problem- even my phone can get THAT correct....
Your assumption that the before booking pins are generalized is correct. It's for the hosts protection. When I look at my town, I can tell you that not even one of the pins is accurate. Including mine.
The best thing is to put a stunning first photo and a descriptive title.
My listing isn't showing up within the entire boundaries of my city.
Airbnb doesn't offer phone support anymore and their chat app support person doesn't seem to understand my problem.
I'm feeling really underappreciated as a client. This is a nightmare and with no support it really makes me question the integrity of the company
@Ryan252 Try Twitter or FB or here is a list of phone numbers and other ways to contact them. I called them by phone last week and someone answered. Where did you hear they stopped offering phone support. It's not always smooth sailing and needs some focus and determination but I always manage to get through to someone.
@Ryan252 - when I search your entire city (zooming a bit towards Stanley Park) you are on page two. When I filter for "private room" you are on page one.
