When you take over an Airbnb listing that was previously managed by a company (with you as the co-host and the company as the host) what happens with the reviews ?

Hello @Lisa9759, that’s a great question.

Hi Lisa,
When you take over an Airbnb listing that was previously managed by a company, the reviews attached to the listing generally stay with the property. This is because reviews are tied to the listing itself rather than to the host or co-host. However, there are a few things to consider:
Listing remains active: If you retain the same listing under your management, all past reviews will remain visible to future guests. The transition from the company to you as the host will not erase previous reviews, so the listing keeps its review history.
New listing creation: If you create a new listing or switch to a different account, the review history will not transfer over. In this case, you’d start fresh with zero reviews on the new listing.
Host profile reviews: Any reviews tied to the company's host profile won’t carry over to your personal host profile, even if you were a co-host. Only reviews linked to the specific listing will stay.
Co-host reviews: If guests mentioned you specifically in reviews as a co-host, these reviews could provide continuity in demonstrating your hosting experience.
It’s typically best to keep the existing listing active if you want to benefit from the reviews, ratings, and established history.
I hope this helps.
