Shortcodes Disappearing

I've noticed that when I use emoticons or make messages a bit long, the shortcodes (like “guest first name”) don’t show up as bold and highlighted anymore; they just appear as plain text. I'm nervous about the shortcode not doing what it's supposed to, especially when I want to personalize messages.

I’d also love to be able to test all these automated or scheduled messages with myself or my co-host to ensure they’re clear and won’t confuse our guests. Please provide further guidance on this! Thank you!

I don't think Hosts have the abiiity to bold or underline text in Scheduled Messages and Quick Replies (although we have been asking for that for years). Maybe somebody figured out how to do it though. If it appears you see bolded text, are you using the App to create the message? I understand that many Hosts have difficulty creating Scheduled Messages and Quick Replies in the App and the short codes don't work properly in the App.

I suggest you create all your Scheduled Messages and Quick Replies on a desktop/laptop and not in the App. To "test" how a message actually appears to a guest and ensure your short codes work properly you can send a message to your Co-Host using whatever message you have setup and you'll see how they appear. You can also go to a message thread with a guest and choose the message you want to view how it appears, just don't hit the send button.

@Joan2709  Thanks for the tip, so helpful! it worked! I had to do it on my laptop versus cellphone through the app 😉

Hi @Mario3845 , thank you so much for updating us that the tip worked 🎉  Have you tested the scheduled messages yet? Do keep us posted on how it goes 😉

There's also a feature to send 'Quick replies' to guests! Are you planning to explore that feature as well?

I'd also love to thank @Joan2709 for supporting @Mario3845 with the question! Appreciate you! 🌻
