Hello Rebecca!
Thank you for the massage. I am very excited to begin this journey. I’m happy with the easy navigation for setting up the listing. I had some issues in the first 40h Internal Airbnb Ambassador Amieliza, deleted my listing without any explanation. And the support team couldn’t restore it, so I had to spend one more day for setting up again my brand new listing. I was very devastated 🥺 But I really hope to not have any more struggles in future.
Best wishes,
Kristine
Hello @Kristine360 👋
Sorry that you had that bump in the beginning of your journey, but I'm so glad to hear that it's all set up now. We've got a wonderful part of the Community Center where you can ask for a listing critique. You could be pleasantly surprised at what other people see!
Have a read of this thread > How to ask for listing critique on the Community Center then head to > ✨ Ask about your listing to reach out to other hosts!
We can't wait to see you around!
Hello @Rebecca
This is all new to us, but we are excited to get started. We just had our first guests, and are looking forward to welcoming as many guests as possible, and providing them with a great service. Any tips and tricks about hosting, interacting with guests and feedback, really anything that is good to know as a new host, are welcome.
Hello @Skov6 👋
It's lovely to see you here and joining in the conversations around the Community Center, and big congratulations on hosting your first guests - how did it go? It's wonderful to hear that you're feeling so excited!
The Community Center has so much information for new hosts. If you head to the top of the page you'll see the 🔍 search bar - if you type a question in there, you'll get lots of results. You can also ask your own questions if you have something particular, or even ask for feedback on your listing!
Hi @Rebecca greetings from me in jakarta city Indonesia,
Almost after two years finally i got a guest confirmed to check in last month .
Few booking has been done by many guests before but all are failed either in the wrong pricing i Made or the wrong thing in between they booking
I was delighted when my first guest check in inspite of her booking was only for two girls finally it was 4 girls and 1 boy coming . They were students of avprivate University in Jakarta City Indonesia and trying to find a studying venue.
I was happy that they are happy with the services and Facilities i provided at my room in jakarta city Indonesia. They were not sleeping overnight because they are studying together up to the late afternoon only.Might be they thought that my room in jakarta city Indonesia is the best venue as co working space.LOL
Hello @Agung19 👋
Congratulations for hosting your first guests even if it wasn't overnight. Did the guests ask to bring more people and if so, did you work out how to amend your booking to allow more people?
If not, there is a great guide called 'When guests want to bring more people'.
The Community Center is a great way to talk these situations through with other hosts who have a lot more experience in these situations and can offer advice and support for your future guests.
Head to > 'start a conversation' to reach out to the community!
My experience on Airbnb has been mixed, Most of my guests have been excellent, but I have had a few messy/disrespectful guests that are making me question whether this is worth my time/mental energy. I am also realizing how possessive/attached I am to my house. It is a home I bought and lived in for several years before moving in with my boyfriend a year ago, so I care about it a lot. Every time I check in on the property, I see marks on the furniture and walls, scrapes on the walls and floors, stains on furniture/textiles, etc. I know this is part of normal wear and tear, so I am trying to work on disconnecting, otherwise, I'd go insane and be too upset to continue.
Buenas tardes Rebecca,
¡Muchas gracias!
Un saludo

Hi @Gl-Hoteles-Andújar0 👋
We're so happy you're here! The Community Center has so much information for new hosts. Have you checked out the Host guides board yet? It's got so much information that has been curated into guides from some of our experienced hosts here!
Where is your listing located?
Hello,
if I was to get a cohost or a listing agent, would that help me get more bookings? Since they manage it with any of their reviews be added onto my place ?
Hi @Andie232 , that's a great question! Since this thread is from 2024, hosts might miss it. I'd suggest to start a new conversation by clicking HERE and ask this to experienced hosts in the community.
If I may ask, why are you looking for a co-host — are you hosting from different city than your listing or looking just for some extra support?
Hi @Rebecca!
Thank you very much for the nice welcome message.
Yes, I'm trilled to join this community and I'm learning step by step every day.
My goal is to have more guests and to fill up the apartments.
Any advice is welcome for me, because I'm new to this business.
Thank you!
Sincerelly,
