Hi, this is about 'Experiences'.
I operate wine tours around the Barossa Valley and have adjusted it with new photos, and while I understand the approval concept, the delay is glacial. The Experience is a way of getting some visibility, which is hard for a small operator, and photos are really important.
Can this please be sped up - and can all my Airbnb colleagues around Australia and the world please book a tour (lol).
Cheers, Charles
Hello @Charles224
The official line is that Airbnb have decided to pause new Experiences to focus on their main core activity but am unsure if by uploading new photos you are considered a newbie or not?
Here is a link to an earlier discussion on the CC on the subject:
Hi @Joelle43 I have been playing with experiences for ages, and they work a bit. I see this platform as another fishing line in the water.
My business is Valley Wine Tours, and most business comes from referrals and Google.
The "no new experiences" probably means that AirBnb has sacked a staff member and so if it can't be actioned by a computer it won't be amended.
That's a total pain in the @$$ for actual operators, but I am used to the "one step forward and two steps backwards" way the site gets transformed every year, and stoically get on with it.
Thanks for the note, and also for not using that cringe-phrase "reaching out".
🙂
@Charles224 sadly the 'reaching out' bus left the station some time ago. The phrase is now endemic across most of the world. I fear there is no longer much point railing against it
Hi @Mike-And-Jane0 and @Joelle43, sorry about the late reply.
Yes the horse has bolted.
We need to circle back, drill down, and touch base so we can get our ducks in a row and move the needle.
Cheers & Beers, Charles
P.S. it was all finally sorted. Finally.
