@Adexe0 in Australia anyone can insure any house.In fact if you are buying a house but it is not yet settled it is important to insure the home that is not yet in your name. Insurance for STRs can now generally be attached to the owners main insurance , similar to rental insurance, but it does not generally cover loss of 'rental ' income but only damages. If researching for a client it is worth beginning with your clients usual insurance company or finding a more generic STR insurance that can be attached . I would think your clients would be happier to go with their own insurers if possible though.Condo or unit insurance is usually handled by body corporate and becomes complicated and to my way of thinking practically unusable...
