Key lock box difficulty seeing code at night

I just had a key lock box installed next to my front door with combination code. Tonight, when I checked I realised my security light isn't bright enough to illuminate the digits well enough to see them. Would it be reasonable to tell guests before they arrive that they may need to use their mobile phone's flashlight to be able to see the code?

I think so @David3418, assuming you can't rig up a little LED light right there.  There are a few people who still don't have the kind of phone that has a flashlight, but perhaps it will all work out that they'll mostly arrive during daylight.  If not, are you able to meet them to see them in?

Can you install a solar powered motion detector light?  There are some pretty bright LED ones available.  I just ordered 4 deck lights from Amazon for about $10Cdn apiece.  I also added one to shine over my barbeque for late night dinners.
