I have a guest that booked the month of June due to a class. The class got cancelled and so the guest wants to cancel. Since it’s long term, and strict, there wasn’t going to be a refund. They are from the same state and gave me more than enough notice to give a full refund. However, when I went to make the refund I got a message that said the payment for the refund will be withheld from next few payouts. How does that work? This guest isn’t scheduled till end of May, I haven’t been given any money and they want to pay guest back with me current payouts? Does that mean I will get paid for his stay? Or am I out the cost of his stay because I chose to reimburse him for a legit cancellation?
if the guest has cancelled, the "long term stay" cancellation policy will still charge the guest for 30 nights.
This payout should be shown in your transaction history pages. If you provide a refund via resolution centre for this specific reservation, it will be deduct this refund from that payout. If you provide full refund, the payout will be 0 (zero). BTW the guest will not be refunded the Airbnb Guest Service costs.
