VAT or Value Added Tax

I have been charged as a host with a VAT on my USA listing.  I am a US citizen, living and paying taxes in the USA.  I cannot get this issue resolved regarding the charge to me of $600 in the fee details.  Any advice appreciated.  Thanks Holly
