Booking.com has recently started providing an iCAL calendar export link. However when attempting to import the iCAL Calendar into Airbnb calendar it gives an error:
"The calendar address isn’t in ICAL format. Check the URL and try importing again."
But if I import the calendar to Google Calendar it goes fine. Also it goes fine when I import to Homeaway.com.
Anybody having this issue? Could this be because Airbnb does not recognize booking.com iCAL yet?
Booking iCAL URL has following format:
https://admin.booking.com/hotel/hoteladmin/ical.html?t=<unique_key>
Olá Teresa, começei hoje a ter este problema, consegui econtrar solução?
Obrigado

Hello!
Can you please tell me where you have find the iCal link or the unique key in booking.com extranet? This might very useful for me.
Thanks a lot!
Vlad
link can be found in the Calendar page "Rates & Availability", check right lower section of the page...
Good news. Issue has now been solved and Airbnb calender is correctly updating for a new booking in booking.com. Recently Booking.com also allows to import Airbnb calendar into booking. Thus now you can cross-sync among the two!
Hi Agim,
I see that you say you were able to sync from booking.com to air bnb however I am still battling..maybe I have incorrect URL - please could you advise...my email address is [email hidden]
Kind regards

I still cannot sync,
Booking.com's partner support says: "Rates and availability - Click on the room name - find a link of Export..." Tried to find one without any luck, not in the left side, not in the right one, neither lower, nor upper.
Please let me know where I can find this feature on booking.com! thanks
I was just on the phone with booking.com
I could not found the option to import or export the calendar and they told me they need to activate it. I did not found it because it was not there. After the call they will solve it. I Suggest you call them and ask for it. Regards
Here is how you are supposed to find the link https://partnersupport.booking.com/hc/en-gb/articles/212488365-Export-Calendar
Not a fan of booking.com --their host platform is so clunky, and it doesn't synch with other sites (AirBNB, VRBO, flipkey). We found it took way too much time for host management compared with the number of bookings, so we blocked all dates on our home from that site this month.
Also, they kept changing their credit card policies, so we never had enough information to run the guests' credit cards--first no cvv collected, then no zip code!
Not sure if you have this feature yet, but last month here in Australia, booking.com introduced virtual credit cards. When you have a non-refundable booking you can charge the card right away. Might be something to watch for as guest payment is taken in full at the time of booking and you should have no difficulty with the virtual card.

Hello Fellow hosts!
I notice this problem starting 8pm eastern. I am not able to import the calendar from Booking.com. I tried deleting and defining a new calendar with no success. Not sure I am the one having the problem. Does any one know how to resolve this issue?
Any help in this will be highly appreciated.

I am facing the same issue. It says "The calendar address isn’t in ICAL format. Check the URL and try importing again." This is frustrating as I have to block my calendar manually in Airbnb when receiving booking from booking.com, and need to disable my instant booking in Airbnb to avoid double booking.
Can anyone please help to solve this issue?
Hi Joyce, I'm having the same issue too. It seems to happen just today. It was working alright 2 days ago. There is a workaround, but it doesn't update too often,
1. First you need to go to google calandar (I assume you have a google account), under "Other Calendars", select "Import Calendar".
2. Copy the Booking.com calendar export link here.
3. After the calendar has been created, click on the little arrow pointing down beside the calendar, and select "calendar setting"
4. Click on the ICAL button, you should have another export link
5. Copy that link and import into Airbnb
It works for me where all bookings made before this issue occurred, have all been sync to Airbnb calendar. However, it will take some time for new bookings to sync into Airbnb as it is a two stage sync process (Booking.com sync to Google, then Google sync to Airbnb). So until Airbnb fixes this, I'll have to manually block future bookings onmy own. Well, at least I don't have to block every bookings made before this on Airbnb which still saves me a lot of trouble. Hope this helps!
