1 guest booked entire flat and used both beds

I just had a booking for 12 nights for 1 guest and when I returned to clean the flat, the guest had used both beds. What do you recommend I do as I needed to clean 2 sets of sheets?

In future I will maybe lock the spare room in this case.

If it is the flat you have listed that offers two beds, @Douglas67, I'm not sure you should lock the second bedroom. Pretty tempting, though, if one fellow is hopping from bed to bed. But 12 nights? So a change of sheets for every 6 days? Seems fairly standard.

@Douglas67@Lawrene0 I agree that using two sets of sheets for a 12 day stay is reasonable. And perhaps he changed beds to see if one was more comfortable.

@Douglas67 Use the option "request money" - make sure you describe it clearly for Airbnb support. Some guests (unfortunately more and more) are way too demanding. At least to my taste.

If the guest rented an apartment with 2 bedrooms and payed for a 2 bedrooms apartment he had every right to use both beds. Unless you made him a special price because he was alone ( but it has to be agreed before) .

You have three listings, @Douglas67 and there is no information about restricted access or additional charges in any listing.  A guest who rents an entire house might expect to have access to an entire house unless there is a note in the description.   I agree  you need to supply additional change of linens and towels if the guest is staying longer than a week and less than a month.  Have you considered adding an extra person charge over 2 guests?  You would have to change two beds then, right?

If there were no sheets available for changing the bed, I suppose he switched to the second bed halfway.

Maybe the other room was quieter? Easily done

@Douglas67  My first thought as a host would be that more than 2 people stayed in your flat. There could have been a changeover of guests, or, one of them snored too loudly and needed to move to a second bedroom. Unless you have a security camera installed outside you will not know how many people stayed in your flat.

I have had one couple use 5 beds in my listing during a 2 night weekend. They received a thumbs down review.
