1099 issue

Hello, very frustrated with airbnb, no matterhow many times I call, I get different people they give me the same scripted message, with zero help.  I handle/host a place for a charity, all monies go into there account, I also have 3 of my own places I host. Recently recieved my 1099 for 2018 and they have added the charitys income to my income.   They refuse to allow me to talk to anybody in there tax department and tell me to have my tax person figure it out!

I tell them obvisously something is not set up correct, what needs to happen to correct it moving forward & they tell me to contact my tax person LOL, just completly clueless people on the phones, they will not put me thru to a manager or anybody  with knowledge on the topic.

Try asking for a contact phone # or email address for the accounting department and demand a "corrected" 1099. No one can write that for you except them. i'm under the impression that they do not even send one out unless it is over $20,000.

Donna, they would not give me either a phone number or a email address, I am just totaly blown away by the lack of caring or help with my issue. I even tell them  I donate 100% of my time to the charity & this is what I get LOL

Your correct on the 20K amount

I am suprized no other hosts have come forward to offer help on this matter, I find it very hard to believe the total lack of support from the company. I tried a different angle today, I called airbnb & told them I had 1 place to set up as a charity & 3 other places I want to put on line personally & I am confussed as how to do it. They told me there was nothing they could do to help me unless I first set up a account I told them I didnt know how to do it Im confussed? They refussed to put me thru to a supervisor I just ended up hangin up. I hope they realaize,

@Jeff570

I do not know the tax system in your country, but in my country it would be setup as this:

The charity organisation should have it's own Airbnb account and the listings must be there also, including their payout method.

Then you can manage them with your Airbnb account as a co-host, not dealing with their earnings anyway.
