Hi, I am currently listing my house and would like to know your thoughts on:

sheets

towels

doonas

pillows

Do I need to have specific items for bookings or do you use what you already have in the house?

also what does everyone do with fridges and pantry’s?

do I need to have specific items when booking

It is up to you if you will give your guests your own towels and sheets or you will buy new ones just for your guests. But all those things should be in a good condition, without any stains and not showing any sign of wear and tear or you will get bad reviews.

We are off site hosts and we bought new bedding/sheets/pilllows/towels for our guests. 

Regarding fridge etc... if your guests will use the same fridge as you then you should free few shelves for them and put a note that other shelves with your food are out of limits.

I don't know if in your country you have to obtain a licence to be allowed to short term rent your room or unit and what requirements it has to satisfy. Here in Croatia we have regulations about min. size of the room for max. number of beds, what basic furniture and items must be provided etc... to be able to get a short term rental licence, So we don't have any doubts about it 🙂
