23 people STRANDED in Spain

Our Airbnb in Miami Platja, Spain, was cancelled extremely last minute - as we pulled up to the house in a coach. The Madrid offices called us and promised us the following: full refund, €1000 towards alternate accommodation, and 50% of our dinner that evening.

Then, our case manager (Georgina) left work at 6pm with the promise that someone would call us back in 5 minutes. Nobody did, and we were unable to contact anyone until the morning, leaving us (23 people!!) without a place to stay and with no information on the streets.

The next morning we contacted customer services - we would talk to them for about 20 mins, at which point they would put us on hold and then HANG UP with no way to call back. We currently still have nowhere to say. We need to talk to someone to figure out what is going on and when/where we can get our alternate accommodation.

We are currently homeless for the next 5 days - we honestly can not afford any alternatives at the moment.

Please help us!!!!!

@Evvia0 nothing we can do here, the best thing to do is keep trying to contact Airbnb, I would even suggest Twitter. The full refund should be sent immediately, try booking a place with those money if Airbnb doesn't manage to find you some place. They are very responcive in this kind of situations, I am surprised you haven't been relocated yet. Let us know how it goes.

@Evvia0Yeah agree with @Ana1136 you won't have much luck here as CS don't monitor the Community,

Twitter is really quick, they reply within 15 mins to your first message and then DM you from there.

Although sometimes it's quicker to get hold of CS over the phone in the morning than evening i've found. (persume it's busier with problems at night?)
