A host that used hidden cameras is still stalking me after I left the Country

Who can I contact at Airbnb?

In my opiniomn proper disclussure would be clear sign on the actual indors camera saying I AM HERE (not a mention as if btw there is a camera but do not worry), a description of the field of view of this video camera ( its resolution and angle was so high and wide you could see what was in the adjacent room even if that room was not signed as containing surveillance). In any case, it was obviously not properly disclosed or Airbnb would not have failed in my favour but the whole interaction with this man was unpleasant.

The 100 of WAp messages were within those two hours of me staying (he was abroad when I took posesion of the flat). I was in stress mode trying to think clearly and escaping the hellish flat- I bloked his number once I was in a safe space.

"Your points about other female guests are valid". Yes, that could have been my young daughters who use Airbnb on a regular basis. It is now my mission to raise awareness of predatory surveillance condoned by Airbnb. Even though they took responsability in my case, one could accidentally pass the field of view of such powerful CCTV naked- as recording went beyond the disclosed room.

Thank you for listening. I will talk to my GP- after those stairs my knees are killing me-- 🙂

@Patricia1644 But you were only at the house for two hours - surely not enough time to do so much damage to your knees that you'd need to see your GP (doctor)? Or did you mean that you needed to see your GP in relation to the psychological trauma you were asking earlier in the thread, if you could claim compensation for?

Hello Susan- Ceartainly psicological trauma would be the first topic I raise with my GP but there were two sets of very steep stairs to access the appartment that were not listed or mentioned in the site. In fact if you see the official site you would think it is a ground floor flat. The flat should come with a warning for people  with accesibility problems. My knees were damaged from going up the stais with the luggage and then down again (running in panic) two hours latter- btw, I tripped and fell and damaged my laptop. My aim is not to ask for compensation but to forget about this nightmare altogether. It literally ruined my holidays and is still hounting me.

 Would you like to have a look at the conversation I am having towards a more transparent reporting of indors CCTV in Airbnb? your opinion would be appreciated.  I wish no one goes through this again, particularly more vulnerable people. Thanks for reading.

@Patricia1644

Forgive my confusion, but on one of your earliest posts in this thread, you asked "Can guests claim compensation from stress inflicted upon them by an agressive host?", but now you're saying "My aim is not to ask for compensation but to forget about this nightmare altogether"

I have read both of your threads - twice - and I'm sorry to say, they're somewhat puzzling, and full of similar inconsistencies, with additional details being added throughout. Perhaps if you tried re-writing your account of exactly what transpired, in a clearer, chronological and more straightforward manner, it would help readers to get the full account and timeline of events, in order to support snd assist you better.

@Patricia1644, the fellow sounds a bit off to me and it was probably a good thing you left.

As for the cameras, if I had them inside, I would not only disclose but also announce once again and point them out once a guest arrives. Also, he is totally out of line to contact you on Whatsapp. I would just ignore him and block him everywhere. Good luck!
