Hi there,
yesterday I published my house for the first time on airbnb.ca.
I also wrote some additional house rules in our listing and they properly show up on airbnb.ca.
The strange thing is, if I have a look on the german website airbnb.de they will not be published. If I compare that with other listings I can see that all their additional house rules are also listed on airbnb.de and airbnb.ca. They are all listed in english language, which is OK, but it is not OK if german guests can't read them at all!
Guests must get informed about house rules and accept them, but how can they do that, if they can`t take notice of them. Is there a bug/glitch? What can I do?
@Marcus-and-Stefanie0 In my experience, when I view a listing I can elect to have it translated to English. I would imagine that would hold for it to be translated to German.
Your listing is quite lovely however your pictures do not include interior pictures except the bathroom. Do you plan to add interior shots of the bedrooms and other spaces in the house?
Best of luck for success in this business.
Hey Linda, thanks for your response, yes, there are a lots of interior pictures missing, because we are still renovating some rooms, but we will publish them later 🙂
I can sadly only translate the description in german, not the house rules, but anyway they will be not displayed on the airbnb.de, strange...
I have a listing that I have also separately published and described in the German language - the additional house rules are there.

Hi Marit, yes, but have a look on https://www.airbnb.de/rooms/23186383?location=cape%20breton&s=ZxYRNKqL and compare it with https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/23186383?location=Cape%20Breton%20Island%2C%20NS&s=80DDLtYp - the german airbnb-website does not include the additional house rules! I don`t know why?
do you have 2 separate accounts on airbnb to publish the house rules also in german language?
@Marit-Anne0 funny in my admin (airbnb.ca) there is only a add-language-feature in the description, the house rules offer no other language-feature...
I noticed the editing layout had changed - mine is from long ago and perhaps followed suit into the new layout. Earlier this was only an issue when it came to languages we could not add/did not master like for example Chinese.
@Marit-Anne0 not a good airbnb-update , but I see no reason why there are absolutely no additional rules published in airbnb.de - there should be at least the english version visible...
The best is to have house rules on a real piece of paper posted on the wall close to the entrance. Guests often forget what they read in their Airbnb accounts.
