Hi, I would like to understand why I listed my unit at $149 for one night but when viewing my listing the pay out is only $113. Also cleaning fee is listed as $50 but the pay out is only $38? I presume it has something to do with the taxpayer information although I have filled this out.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed
Airbnb gives you an itemized statement for each booking showing the rate, number of nights, your additional fees, the Airbnb host service fee, and any other deductions. For example:
$90 x 6 nights | $540 |
Cleaning Fees | $15 |
Airbnb Service Fee | ($20) |
Total Payout | $535 |
In the U.S., if a host has not provided taxpayer information to Airbnb, it also withholds a certain percentage for host income taxes.
If your numbers aren't looking right, you should talk to Airbnb directly. Some issues I've seen others have: currency errors (US$ vs. Canadian $), errors with weekly or monthly rates or extra person charges.
I see in the response -- provide Air B&b tax information--- where and how do you provide tax information to air BB ?
