AirBNB HOST Payment Verification

I have listed with Airbnb as a HOST for the first time in the past few days. I already have 4 bookings.  I have received a LOT of correspondence from Airbnb regarding my set up and the people making reservations. Its all happening very fast!

Somewhere amongst this I recall receiving a notification that said that I would be receiving a tiny deposit in my bank account of a few cents as part of the verification process. I see this has arrived in my bank account. What I want see is what I'm now meant to do with this??????

I have looked back over messages and notifications and emails etc, both on the Airbnb site and on my App, and in my email's inbox. I can see nothing about this deposit and what I'm meant to do next.  My first guests are already here and I've received notification that I've been paid (Which I understand will take a few days to arrive in my bank account). This has not prompted any further info about this tiny few cents deposit either.

Am I meant to be doing something to respond to the few cents deposit or is verification happening all by itself?

Hello @Paula360,

When you set up your payout method Airbnb lodges a cent or so to make sure that your bank accepts electrionic payments from Airbnb.

As this has happened, Airbnb will see that it was successful and will activate your payout method a few days after that. You don't have to do anything.

You can check the status of your payout method as described here how-do-i-know-if-my-payout-method-is-ready?

If you open the article above, clicking on "Go to payout preferences" will bring you to a page to see the status of your payout method.

Once the payout status is "Ready" you'll receive payouts a few days after each guest checks out.
