I'm a bit late to this party, but I've been looking at adding widgets or other embedded code into my property's own website, thinking it might drive a bit more traffic to bookings. However, while the Owners Direct code works nicely, the Airbnb code does not. A quick call to Airbnb support has revealed that it's a known issue, but most likely won't be solved because Airbnb are discontinuing embedded badges.
This has left me wondering if they have any use? Do you use them on your own websites? Any evidence they work?
Is this a backward step by Airbnb (that together we could reverse), or are little marketing tricks like this a distraction?
All thoughts welcome!
@Ben205, I don't use the embedded badges currently, but I had considered them.
Did AirBnB say what would replace embedded badges if they are discontinued? Anything?
You got AirBnB on the phone?
Actually, speaking to ABB here in the UK is easy. I call them up and get a nice message saying 'Hello, Superhost'. The knowledge of their staff is variable, though but contacting them isn't a problem.
