Anyone have idea for how to lock an interior door with a lever type handle?

Hi!

We're getting ready for our first rental.  It's a vacation home with plenty of bedroom closet and dresser storage.  Our family does stay here often, so we'll have some personal belongings to lock up.  We have a few large interior storage rooms (it's an unfinished elevator shaft), that have lever type handles.  I'm stumped on how to secure these!  Sadly, the handles were not equipped with locks when installed.

I can't find anything online, save for child safety type locks.

If possible change them for ones with locks, or add  a separate lock to the door. To my knowledge no other options, unless looking rather clumsy and insecure (like using a latch/padlock or removing the handle)

Agreed!  Thanks so much.  After talking with the hubs, he's just going to switch them out.  I did see a few products, but they do look clumsy, and some looks downright hazardous!
