Approving a pending booking

Hi can anyone advise please.

i have a pending booking request in my calendar. The guest has contacted me but I can't find an option to approve them - the have paid (PayPal) and don't want to 

send another request, which I understand.

Trish can you reword? I'm not quite understanding. A guest has a pending booking on your calendar, you can't find an option to aprove them, they "have" (?) paid via paypal and don't want to send another request.... Is this right? If it is, it sounds like your instant booking might be on, and your pending may have gone over into a confirmed booking. Has it changed in your calendar (appearing as booked or pending since?) The other option is to go to your host dashboard and check out what it says. I have had people book with me before, and then beside their name is a note about Airbnb needing to confirm payment with them (this does not appear in the messages section), so the booking is sorta suspended until they confirm their payment info.

I don't have instant booking turned on.

I have a message from the guest in messages but I don't have a booking request that I can approve or pre approve.

i think it may relate to the guests verified ID being pending, as they are new to airbnb.

Happened to me. The guest need to verified ID.

Nothing for you to do. it is either pending payment or verification. If it is not cleared up and become a reservation, the pending status will end in 24 hours and your calendar will be freed up. Hope that makes sense.
