Hi,
I had a disagreement with a family member about our calendar and I ended up cancelling a reservation because of it. After further discussion with this family member, we decided to make some changes and now we want to reinstate the reservation. The guest would also like to keep the reservation, but the calendar is blocked. Is there anyway to unblock the calendar so this guest can rebook or is there a way to uncancel the cancellation?
Thanks,
Tim

Basically no.
ABB can but whether they would is another issue.
@Tim-and-Audrey0, you'll have to cointact AirBnB about this. Cancelling a reservation automatically blocks out the dates so they can't be booked again, it's a way AirBnB punishes hosts for cancelling. They might unblock the dates for you if you have extenuating circumstances but there's no guarantee.
Tim & Audrey,
Cancelling a reservation causes various penalties for you (financial, blocked calendar, and a black mark on your review page). Considering both you and the guest still want the reservation to take place, I would call Airbnb customer service and ask for their help. Hopefully they will also be willing to remove those penalties, as that will be important for you in the long-term as you work toward building credibility for future guests and in creating your own brand.
Best of luck!
