Hey
I have a few people moving to the UK from various countries like Spain, US and other European countries who will need temporary accommodation while they search for a permanent place to live.
With COVID-19 situation and the 14 day self-isolation that needs to happen, can this take place in an AirBnB property?
Any help/advice would be great as we have a few flying over next week and need to find places for them to stay.
With many thanks
H
@H49 you are best helped by checking your local requirements. Those can change from day-to-day so you need to keep your finger on the local situation.
As this forum is international you may get completely incorrect advice.
Stay safe !!
Yes they can as long as they don't come from more than two households and it is at a residence where they can order food and takeaways to be delivered as they are not allowed out of the household for the full two weeks.
Check with your local authority though as I am not sure which part of the UK you are interested in.
If this is a third party that you are booking for accommodation for you will need to set up an Airbnb at Work account to allow you to do this.
@H49 There is clear advice on the Government website. Reviewing this I think shared homes would be a problem as the use of shared facilities precludes proper isolation.
Also be aware that people quarantining can't go out for exercise or shopping so ideally a garden is needed and an arrangement for feeding them.
