Can a host create a reservation for guest to approve and make payment?

My current guest asks me to book a period for next year. Is there a way for a host to create a new reservation and ask guest to approve and make payment accordingly?

The Pre-Approve icon has disappeared in the guest' profile on my list becuase our conversations took place in the current confirmaed reservation thread.

Can anyone please advise how a host can create a book and go from there instead of the guest using the instant book feature from guest view in airbnb? Thank you!

@Irene36 Yes, ask your guest to cancel their reservation request and instead send you a reservation inquiry (Contact Host button).  When you receive the inquiry, you can send a pre-approval or a special offer if you want to. 

Alternatively you can just approve their reservation request.  

Either way, the guest is required to pay for the reservation now even though the reservation is far off in the future.

@Irene36 You'll need to first make the dates the guest is requesting available on your calendar and set a price, assuming they aren't since it's for a year away.
