Can any guest check in!

Hi, I have a booking for myself and two friends who are listed as guests on the booking. One of the guests will be there at the time of check in but I (booked on my account) will be arriving the next day, can that guest check in instead of myself?

It is self check-in via a key safe, so would I just get sent a code that I could send to that guest?

I messaged the host asking what the check in instructions are but I have received no reply.

@Vladan2 I think it should be fine with the host but If I were you I would notify her of my plans. Try contacting her on her mobile if she doesn't respond on Airbnb.
