Cancelation policy

Cancelation policy

The cancellation policy that I want to offer is vastly different from any of the levels of cancellation that Airbnb has on their website. My policy is much more strict than even the STRICT Airbnb policy. If I ask guests to sign a rental agreement, can I enforce my cancellation policy or will it always default to the Airbnb policy?

Thank you.

Hello @Laurie81,

It will always default to the Airbnb policy as Airbnb has control of the money paid by guests.

They have the money until 24 hours after checkin and will, for cancellations after checkin when payment has already been released to the host, deduct any money refunded to a guest from a subsequent guest's payout to the host.

The Airbnb policy that a host selects is subservient to the extenuating circumstances policy and any refund decision that Airbnb takes, in its sole discretion and under its terms of operation.

what-is-airbnb-s-extenuating-circumstances-policy?

Steve.

Thanks Steve.
