Cancelation refund

We are trying to cancel our booking, because we experiencing delays with our visa, we already try to reschedule our itinerary with the host, however non of the days that I proposed are suitable for the host that's why we have to cancel, however we are under the long term policy and stipulate that the firs month is not refundable witch means that we are not getting our money back. How is this possible? When we are cancelling more than 30 days in advance. I try to make a cancelation but the refund is just $30 dollars and I payed $1600, Can some one help me?

Long Term: First month not refundable, 30 day notice for cancellation

• Note: The Long Term cancellation policy applies to all reservations of 28 nights or more.
• Cleaning fees are always refunded if the guest did not check in.
• The Airbnb service fee is non-refundable.
• Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you're charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
• If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to Airbnb within 24 hours of check-in.
• Airbnb will mediate when necessary, and has the final say in all disputes.
• A reservation is officially canceled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
• Cancellation policies may be superseded by the Guest Refund Policy, extenuating circumstances, or cancellations by Airbnb for any other reason permitted under the Terms of Service. Please review these exceptions.
• Applicable taxes will be retained and remitted.

@Nancy203 ,,wouldn't there be a good chance you'd get your visa within the next 30 days, perhaps be a few days late for your long term rental?  I would hope the host would work with you in scenario. What is the hold up? how long was your planned rental? What do you plan to do instead?
