Cancellation by Mistake

Hi there,

 

My guest and I realized it was best to cancel the reservation right after the booking was made, because she didn't realize the studio did not have an ammenity she required. She was supposed to cancel her reservation, but then she sent me a cancellation request and so I canceled it instead thinking it would be her cancellation since it was her request.

However, it appears like I, the host, am the one that cancelled and I am getting all the pennalties for it.

How can I unblock my calendar or reverse this? It was not my decision to cancel!

Does airbnb have a number or email?

If this is a genuine mistake Airbnb CX can help sort it out. It helps if your actions are set out on your message thread. I've several times gotten in to that situation with a guest who booked wrongly and Airbnb just unwinds the whole booking. Call (415) 800-5959

I'm trying to undo a mistaken cancellation. This phone no. does not work in the UK?

I have the same problem how to change a mistake. I cannot get any help anywhere. I cancelled wrong person.  

I called 415-800-5959 in San Francisco. Use country code. It takes a long time to get to talk to someone. Put them on speaker phone listen to music until you can talk to a representative. They will solve your problem
