Cancellation due to Forest Fire!

We have had a challenging summer with our (very new)  Air BnB listing as we live in a region that has had a continuous Forest Fire situation all summer. Most of our guests have understood and cancelled when we advised them of the situation, but we had to cancel one due to Highway closures and the fact that the guest would not respond to any of my messages. This was the first time I ever cancelled a confirmed booking, and it was for the guests own saftey, but Air BnB keeps sending me warnings and telling me I am ineligble for Superhost status etc. Even thought I explained the situatin to them, any thoughts on this?

thanks,

Didi

You should have put a claim to cancel under extenuating circumstances. If you haven't done so, then do this now (Have a look at their Help Centre for information).

How did you explain the situation to AirBnB?
