I made a booking yesterday at 6:40 PM and the cancellation policy is Strict (grace period) which allows cancellation with full refund within 48 hours of booking. However when I click 'Cancel' I get a pop-up message saying "Unfortunately, the cancellation wasn’t made in time and your refund has changed—please try again." I messaged the host but I'm worried that if I don't here back from them in time I will be charged the full amount. Help.
I am having the same issue on a reservation with a flexible cancellation policy. I have been trying to cancel it for three days and I am still getting the same message. I hope someone responds to this!
I would message the help center to put in the record that you have been trying to cancel and take a screen shot of your message and then contact your bank and try cancelling at that end- there have been tons of issues with payments lately- the monies stay with Airbnb until you are actually staying at your booking so your host has no control over the situation (and guess who is collecting the interest on all the$$)
