Cancellations but keep super host

Hi everyone. Unfortunately I need to have surgery mid June. I do have one guest that this is going to interfere with. I do not want to lose super host status due to needing to cancel because of the surgery. The reservation is for 3 1/2 weeks away and I just want to know how I should go about it. Thank you

@Ryan121  Contact Air BNB by phone to allow them to relocate the guest and cancel the reservation without penalties.  You might need some proof of the scheduled surgery.  Here is a link to the community guide for contacting Air BNB:

Have you considered a temporary co-host?

 Prep your room before your surgery.

 Generously reward your cohost, keeping in mind Airbnb may penalize you $50.

This is Airbnb.  Guests have no and should have no expectation that host will be 100% healthy and willing to serve.

If you don't want to use a co-host and if Airbnb will not cancel your reservation without penalty, try to get guest to cancel.

Since it is 3.5 weeks away, guest may cancel if you ask nicely and/or sweeten the deal
