This is my first time doing this and had a booking for 20th October, I had to to regrettable cancel this as not in the country, I'm hundred percent sure I'd blocke dates from 11th until after 21st.. I'm going to be penalised for this and think totally unfair. I was looking forward to my first guest, yea maybe I screwed up, !?!?!?!??
Any help with advice appreciated

If you are 100% sure call airbnb and ask them to check they can look at your listing and if you had blocked the dates they will cancel it for you.
Why not remove instant book until your become more familiar with how Airbnb works and learn how to vet your guests.

Thank you so much for the telephone number. It's a shame Airbnb don't make this public information. I have spent hours trying to contact them!
@Oliver0 There is a known, longstanding glitch in the system that unblocks host calendars and allows Instant Bookings on blocked dates.
Airbnb will try to convince you that nobody else has reported this issue, and that this "error" is on you. It's not, so stand your ground. Do a search in the CC for posts relating to this issue, include the links in an email to the CX agent dealing with your case, and insist they cancel this booking with no penalties to yourself, as this is their issue, not yours.
Good luck!
Thanks very much for the help, got it sorted and no penalties
Cheers Oli
Hi @Oliver240,
It is also advisable to block dates in the calendar from a Browser on a PC, and not from within the App.
As it has been reported before that unblocking of dates occurred, when done from within the App.
There shouldn't be a difference, but apparently there is.
How can I cancel my listing as it is not ready yet? I listed it before I was ready
How can I talk to an Airbnb representative live by phone?
Thanks,
Jack
You can snooze or deactivate it until it is ready, then activate it again:

Airbnb phone numbers are on the website(!) but also in mentioned in here:

You posted into a closed thread with different subject.
It's better to create a new posting.
Hope this helps,
