Cannot use Indian credit card to make bookings for New Zealand property??

hi - I am trying to make some bookings for our trip to NZ early next month. suprisingly, i am not able to use my Indian credit card. i get different types of errors at different times. sometimes it says i should try later - other times the error says that since my credit card is in INR, i need to pick india as my billing country (which is always what i select). so not sure what's going on.

anybody else facing similar issues?
