I have generally been more than happy with Air BnB and the service it offered me for over two years. However I am having problems with the new Air BnB website design and I am not getting anywhere with the so called Air BnB personnel who make up what is called "our specialized team". I have already been through Ana G. & Gregg, the latter who looks like he has given up on me. Both of them see the problems I have with the new design and keep telling me that they cannot do anything when I know they can.
I am sorry but this is not acceptable where the Air BnB website design is mis leading guests, leaving hosts open to attack and criticism from some pernickity guests looking for an excuse to have a go. It is the Air BnB design that is mis leading not the hosts and I do not see why the host has to bear the brunt of criticism from guests when it is Air BnB who is responsible.
What are my issues?
The bed icon for my single room shows two dots (double bed) instead of one dot. Why can's Air BnB change the icon. The "specialised team" say they can't.
The icon for my bathroom shows a bath when I do not have a bath in the bath room. I have a shower. The "specialised team" say it can't be changed.
The website does not allow hosts to explain that weekend parking is free while Monday to Friday is charged. No choice - it has to be one or the other.
Finally one of my listings is showing a price way below the price given in "Edit Price Details". No answer from "specialised team" as yet.
WHY are Air BnB not willing to make these website design changes in order to help hosts offer a better service to customers? This is baffling me.
Air BnB are leaving hosts open to being criticised by guests some of whom can be very particular. Why is it that Air BnB will not respond to genuine concerns from hosts? This is not right and I expect a better answer than "a clear and accurate description posted on your listing" when it is Air BnB who are providing the unclear and inaccurate descriptions. IT IS JUST NOT RIGHT. Air BnB cause the inaccuracies but we the hosts suffer the consequences.
I am not sure if this is the right place to explore further solutions to these issues. If not, I would appreciate guidance and direction in taking this matter further beyond the so called "specialized team" or the forever silent "development team". Thanking you, Eamon
