Who and how to contact - SMS notifications do not work again.

Hi guys,

 

I find it frustrating I can't find a way to contact / notify AirBnb of a problem.

It seems SMS notifications aren't working.

 

Does anyone know who and how to contact to notify of a problem and get some answers?

@Jelena3 it must be frustrating to have the SMS not work!

 

There are a few ways to contact AirBnB support.

On your Help page, near the bottom right is a "Contact us" button.
Or you can use this link: https://www.airbnb.com/help/contact_us

Once you are on the "Contact us" page, choose "Its something else"

This will give you the choice to either exchange messages with AirBnB or to speak to someone on the phone.
(Using the "Contact us" phone choice gives you the option to have them call you, so you don't have to wait on hold.)

Thanks @Matthew0, but it doesn't work like that for me.

"My question is about something else" takes me to a page with 3 options to select - whether it is hosting, or traveling, or reservation. No other options. Ne email, no phone number.

After that, I again get only options of possible problems (none related to my problem) but no was to actually contact anyone either by email or phone.

In FireFox I can't even reply to message on this page!

And the problem still persists - I get a notification when there is a new message. Although it is different than before. Now it only says "new message' so I actually have to log in in order to see whether it is just "ok, thank you" or something I need to respond to.

But for Inquires and Bookings there are no SMS notifications.

Does anyone else have this problem, and can someone notify AirBnb about this.

@Jelena3 what happens if you select either Hosting or Traveling from that menu?

Eventually I would think it will get to the page where you can either send a message or request a phone call.

(I am assuming you are logged into your AirBnB account when you do this...)

 

(Also, if you can't reply to a message here, you also should check to see if you are logged into the Community. You can't reply if you haven't signed in.)

 

@Matthew0 i click on hosting and get another menu.. messaging and booking, manage listing... whatever i choose there i get another menu. in all those have not seen anything about sms notifications.

nor email or telephone.

 

if you know steps in those little mens how to get to email pls let me know.

or if you could alert airbnb about my problem (since you have the email option) please do.


replying to this is a browser related problem. i can reply from safari, but not from firefox. the "reply" button is missing in safari. 
(i work in IT... )

an update:

 

since last night the help page looks different and actually has the options you mentioned the other day!

 

in the meantime i contacted airbnb on their fb page.

and i am seing today quite a few reports that sms notifications are not working properly.

 

communicating with airbnb staff is proving more frustrating than the problems themselves.

 

@Jelena3 I am wondering if the Help page looks different because one time it was viewed in Host mode, and one time in Guest mode.

 

Yes, communicating with Airbnb staff can be frustrating, but at least now you are able to communicate with them!

Hopefully they have something constructive to say about the SMS problem....
