Charged more than total price

I booked a house and the total came out to 855 dollars plus some cents. I then looked at my bank statement and it says I had been charged 902 dollars. Can anyone tell me why I was charged and extra 50 dollars that was not listed anywhere on the final purchase?

is this your first booking on Airbnb or you stayed somewhere before? It may be some debt from your last trip, a resolution payout or something.

Airbnb charges a service fee (around 20%) as well as currency conversion fee (2-3%) so you actually pay more than your host charges for accommodation. Of course, you see the total amount while booking.
