Contacting AIRBNB not the host ...

Hey YO AIRBNB

I have a serious bone to pick with you...

you are the operating company. I have things to discuss with you and your "help bar" a hampster wheel, just sending you back to where you start when your question isn't answered. The host can't fix this problem so get your act together and face the music because it seems like a lot of people have had issues with your aloofness. the people on here need answers to important questions and it is such a common question "how do I get in contact with Airbnb?" if 100's of people are asking this... its time to WAKE UP and get your act together. gets your adult international business pants on and start being more available to the customers and the host....

now.. does anyone know how I can have a constructive conversation with an employee of this lovely company?

Really? Can you guarantee that ?

I  apologize for using the word 'you' out of context. ....But in spite of your assurance that Airbnb have nothing to do with this forum my listing has been inexplicably suspended.  Glowing testimonials from my guests have been posted but I suppose that counts for naught with their labyrinthine methods of rating a host. Sadly I have come to the conclusion that it's all about the $$$$$.

I have always assumed it is all about the $$$$$, why would it not be, it is a Business.

I doubt but can not be certain that anything posted on here would influence a suspension.

David

@Michael879 , if you want to think things over, better than blocking the next two weeks is snoozing your listing. As it is, you could get a booking for after those two weeks. You surely don't need another cancellation. Best might be to limit your availability to only 3 months into the future. And if I were you, I would take instant booking off your listing, at least until you feel more comfortable with Airbnb rules, especially about cancellations.

I may consider snoozing; but the abject disdane that I have experienced by a company that makes money off of people like me who are willing to open their doors to strangers is astonishing.

Annette, at this point I really don't care whether or not I get a cancellation or miss a booking. My patience with these people is already stretched way beyond my limits.  But thank you for your advice.

@Michael879, I hate to see you getting all worked up and miserable over this, maybe you'd be better off just quitting. Doesn't sound like Airbnb is your cups tea. Good luck!

Annette, you are probably right, you see my house is quite small and has only one bathroom. But I did enjoy having guests but the dictatorial manner with which "those who must be obeyed" treat their hosts is something I just cannot deal with. Thank you for your best wishes, may I wish you the same.  Michael.

@Tess25

I loved the exuberance of your post it was amusing and creatively written, unfortunately Airbnb does not have “Adult International business pant”, but they have been caught with their pants down on so many occasions!

Does a day go by that the question you posed isn’t asked, I don't think so? David regularly replies with "people have found twitter to be a good way" or Jeff will give you a URL to follow. But it isn't the same as having a "click to speak to an Airbnb representative Button" on the website.

I use Microsoft Office 365 and within minutes of requesting help I get a Phone call back from a Microsoft Technician wanting to fix my problem.

In the last two months, I've paid fees to Airbnb of twice the amount of money I'm paying Microsoft for office 365, so people need to wake up and start demanding better service.

@Tess I’d like to see more of your input keep up the good work.

Cormac

How could I resist?

Cormac, thank you for your delightful message. Could I ask you to do America a great favour and please keep our crazy President Trump in Poland and banish him to some remote mountaintop castle, lock him up and throw away the key?  Thank you, Michael. 😉

@Michael879

America is a great country and like every other country it has its faults, but American’s of all hues have resilience, creativity and get up and go, so while you are suffering a hiatus now, I have no doubt that America will bounce back as it always does to take its rightful place at the head of what we use to called the free world.

Regarding your National embarrassment, if ever a person was mismatch to a position its surely got to be him, so batten down the hatches it’s going to be a bumpy ride and let’s hope he’s impeached sooner then later.

I'm in the same situation!  I cannot find a phone number to discuss a situation.  I have not been paid out for a last minute cancellation and I'm not happy about the way they handled it.  Hosts have rights too -  like if the guest did not attempt to read one thing you sent them about checking in, etc.

How do we contact a HOST representative??
