Creepy guest

A man from my own city requested my room, and I accepted. He arrived with flowers, and he really gave me the creeps. I had plans (luckily) for the evening, but while I was out, he texed that he had locked himself out of the house. I cut short my visit with friends to come home and let him in, then he followed me around the house and asked to sit on the sofa with me. I dead-bolted my bedrom at night, and asked him to leave early the next morning.

I honestly think he saw my photo with my listing and wanted to stay here to flirt. I was very scared.

Can I block this creep from reserving again? What are my options?

Your option is to flag the profile and messages and this way report to airbnb.  Also leave a review asap stating the facts, give a thumbs down and tell your story in the private feedback to airbnb.

Maybe consider renting to females/couples only and not accept same day requests.  Someone from the same city/area is also a red flag as they normally would not need accomodation.

Very unpleasant, and something I would like to bring to attention to the man wearing the Hosting is Sexy t-shirt on photo 8 on this post from Sydney Host days:

Inappropriate, though possibly his opinion?

Hi @Liz130,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this guest, it does sound uncomfortable, I hope you are ok.

As @Marit-Anne0 said there is the option to only host guests of the same gender -  according to the nondisrcimination policy - "Airbnb hosts may.. make a unit available to guests of the host’s gender and not the other, where the host shares living spaces with the guest".

I also wanted to let you know that I have moved your post and replies to a new thread, as it will be easier for others to find it here and offer advice. I have given it a title, please let me know if you want to change it!

Guy has checked in really weird. Talking about how he was kicked out of the last Airbnb because he had made a fake profile. Talked at the front door for about 30 min before stepping in. Now scaring other guests by talking weird. I’m not sure what to do?
