At the end of the information I email guests, I also add a note that I hope they had a great visit and that they will leave a great review and we will leave one in return. In the electronic copies, I also add that for more information about Airbnb's unique review system, we recommend this article: http://www.forbes.com/sites/sethporges/2016/06/29/the-one-issue-with-airbnb-reviews-that-causes-host...
Depending where you are located, your guests may still be traveling and haven't gotten a chance to write a review yet. Airbnb gives them 2 weeks to leave a review and sends them several reminder emails to leave feedback. You can also encourage them to leave a review by leaving your own review of them. I know when my guests leave me feedback first, I'm always curious what they had to say, so I leave my feedback right away to satisfy my own curiousity. 🙂
Hi Sergio & Nicole,
We have a similar issue...sometimes not getting enough reviews to meet the 50% Superhost requirement.
We noticed, some local guests do not write reviews in order not to get one from the host.
Not because they were unhappy, but for privacy reasons, not to leave a trail of their travels.
(If they were good guests, we respect that, if not, we write one, to warn other hosts.)
But some guests are just a bit lazy or not familiar with writing reviews (...despite the Airbnb reminders). So, after a few days waiting, you could let the guest know, you would be happy to leave them a review. Tell them, having reviews is a good thing, as many hosts only accept reviewed guests. You'll find, most guests respond, by writing a review after this gentle reminder.
