Hi,
This is the second time that AirBnB has withheld a payout that is comparatively larger than the average payout (as the guest had booked for 6 nights).
What's surprising me is that there is no communication from their end on why they withhold the payment. It is only when I call them that claim that it was a technical issue.
This trend doesn't throw AirBnB in a good light as interest accumulation on all these payments that is withheld for all the hosts would be quite large.
Any one else faced this issue before?
P.S.: Large payments in my case is anything over Rs. 25000/ or $350.
I have not received my payment For 4. Nights either. I have cancelled of future bookings until I get paid. I am not a happy host.
What is wrong with AirBnB?
Why are they behaving like a cheap, fly-by-night operator?
The bank interest that they earn (probably in millions!) is still peanuts to the loss on Goodwill amongst their hosts.
I have raised this with their phone customer support team but till now their are completely apathetic to the problem.
I am waiting for a large payout as well...$1700. I was told it was the weekend and they were busy due to the holiday. I said that was an excuse and there was no reason it shouldn’t be released so my bank could process it. I asked for a processing or release date and was sent to another department, who I have not heard from. I have been a host for a number of years and it is truly disappointing.
