Delaying guest payment date???

Help - I've just accepted a booking but the guest is wanting to hold off paying for a couple of weeks (which I'm happy with - the booking is not till September) - is there a way of delaying the payment date?  Thanks, Kate

Hi @Kate95, no there is no way to do this; AirBnB takes the full payment at the time of booking (or the first month if it's a long-term rental). The guest either has to pay or risk the room being already being taken when they come to book in a couple of weeks. Don'tbe tempted to do any financial dealing with the guest outside of the AirBnB system as you won't be protected if anything goes wrong and it's against the rules.

Hi @Kate95,

All transactions are handled by Airbnb, if they've placed a booking they've either been charged the fee already or have had a card bounce and it's now in limbo... Airbnb will chase them up.  As previously noted, if they want to book, they have to pay or they can miss out.
