Has anyone received any SkyMiles from Delta through their partnership program with Airbnb? We signed up as new hosts and have qualified for the bonus miles but neither Delta nor Airbnb customer service has any information or knowledge on the program. They keep sending us back and forth and no one can give us any information. So frustrating.
I am nearly a year out and nothing. I travelled using AirBnB a great deal of last year and even this year, and none of the miles have shown up. I am now trying to book AirBnBs for a trip back to Scotland for a month and as soon as I actually log into my AirBnB account, the DeltaSkymiles thingy disappears indicating its tracking my booking. I do not know if any of the miles will show up or not. They owe me so very many miles at this point, I do not even know how to get them all accounted for. Do I go to AirBnB or Delta (I have a call into Delta, just waiting for the call back today). Delta lost my next flight to Europe because I did not have the SkyMiles so booked with a cheaper airline. They are hurting their own business with this poor system. Has anyone found a solution to these issues?
Yes - the Airbnb execution of this program is poor. Nice program but poor execution by airbnb. All my last years stays (30 plus in 2017 ) has shown up in my Delta account. I had so many issues when the program started in 2016. If I remember there was a form that I sent to Delta with the airbnb confirmation number and then Delta credited me the miles. I cant remember where I got the form but either Delta of airbnb did direct me to the form.
Its a shame that you cant see your airbnb bookings and the delta miles that were credited in YOUR AIRBNB ACCOUNT.
Best of luck - let the community know how you make out.
I'm just running into this issue now. I'm a longtime Skymiles member and longtime AirBnB member but just found out about the partnership now. Recently I booked a Spring Break trip for my son and I, using Skymiles. While poking around on the Delta site I learned about the AirBnB partnership. Unfortunately I had already booked our AirBnB for the trip. It's just four nights at $670 total, but if I'd known I would have followed the special link and earned a few Skymiles.
Like a few others here I work in the SaaS space and this is absolutely abysmal UX / user flow. If Delta and AirBnB have a partnership we should have better visibility in our account settings.
Could not agree more. No way to easily ensure you are getting credit at the appropriate rate or even credit at all. Plus airbnb customer service is NO HELP at all.
I just realized today that I have NEVER received Skymiles for any of my Delta Airbnb stay over the last 18 months. And I’ve had a lot of them. I’ve been very careful about going to the deltaairbnb site to initiate my bookings. My skymiles number shows up but the minute I start looking for a place it disappears and I seem to be on the regular Airbnb site/app. Agree the Delta portion is not user friendly. How hard would it be to have a designator DSM on each “trip” in the Airbnb summary.
Totally agree Lori. I have received credit for SkyMiles with Delta AirBnB, but I'm always second-guessing when I am in a hurry to book if I remembered to book on the airbnbdelta site. I kept looking for a way to see a code next to "My Trips" in my AirBnB account. No luck! Ack!
Hey, I've been having the same issue.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
I’ve contactes delta via missing miles and eventually points were posted to my account. I’m not sure if it is the total 1 point per mile though. I must say, this is the second time I’ve had to do this.
I have had to contact Delta at least 3 times over the past 3 years about missed stays. They have been good about fixing the missed stays. Its just such a bad user expereince from airbnb's side.
Same issue. I book all my stays through https://www.deltaairbnb.com/ But none of them ever come through. So after a few weeks or months of my stay I go to https://www.deltaairbnb.com/missing-miles and fill out the non user friendly form.
The trick is. Never send out more than two requests as I discovered that they never get processed for some reason.
Still can't receive miles for a few stays. I sent requests numerous times. No reply.
Airbnb support is not very supportive regarding this as well.
