Deposit and Taxes

It looks like Airbnb did not charge my guest the security deposit we have. Is that right, is it somewhere else?

Also, does Airbnb take taxes out for us?

AirBnb do not charge a security deposit, a theoretical possible charge against whatever method was used to pay, basically if the Guest agrees.

AirBnB collects taxes in some places, sometime all sometimes just part, varies.

@Janice143 Have you had a look at Airbnb Help Centre? - it will answer most of your FAQs including how their deposit system works (they don't physically take the money but hold a charge against the payment method) and will tell you how they handle taxes in your area.
