@Robert78

I agree.  It is shocking how the new hosts stumble time and again on the same traps.  When you have so many common denominators this obvious, there should be some sort of call to action.

As for the hosts who continuously encourage and help the new ones venturing out to try their luck, I really admire their kindness and dedication.  I even tip my hat to some of the snippy ones who may inspire a venture into further research before clicking "list".

Trouble is, you could write a whole list of tips and it would likely fall into the same vortex of trying to get bookers to read a description...  For most, using the search bar is a stretch.

I am still dumbfounded that you do not have to provide a scrap of evidence that you even own the place you are listing and I think that pretty much says it all.  To me it's a modern day wild west and they do deserve a bit of admiration for getting away with it!

I never assumed an ethos beyond a way of making lots of money for the owners.

@David126 Well this owner's income is confidential. Airbnb's is in the late teens (of billions.) Your mileage may vary.

I like the how @Lisa293 is approaching the situation, it s not as if the situation is negotiable.

Everybody has a different situation so pick and choose.
