We just started hosting for Airbnb and found ourselves busy right away! Our guests arrived and deposits were made without any glitches. 24 hrs. later, a deposit went into our account and all was well!

 

Now, those pay-outs are being held for "Processing" and the explanations by the Specialists doesn't make sense! Hold means Hold and there is no absolutes or good excuses as to why this is happening.

 

To be clear, "Processing" means they are holding my funds and the money is not deposited into my bank account.

 

Who else is experiencing this situation and why is this happening?

 

Please help!

You will benefit from reading the articles in the Help Center about payouts and deposits.  As a new host, there are sooooo many details about the platform that are not intuitive, so a good place to become educated is the Help Center.

 

In your case, as a new host, Air BNB will often hold the payouts for 30 days.  After that, you should expect the payout to be sent 24 hours after check  in.  As to security deposits, those are never collected by Air BNB unless there is a valid damage claim.
