First Booking

Hi....I'm a genuine newbie to Airbnb hosting, but shortly after publishing my first listing I did get a booking which I'm very happy about.  But, I have a concern that I wanted to get some advice on.  First, the guest wanting to book is new to Airbnb with no reviews.  My instant book settings meant she needed to send a request.  Her message with the request says she's coming for a child's university graduation, but Airbnb says her ID indicates she's under 25 and there are three other guests.  I definitely don't want to decline a reservation from any guest, but I'm concerned that she's new to Airbnb (she probably has the same concerns about me...haha) and her ID doesn't match what her message is telling me.  Naturally I could just send a message to ask about the difference, but I wanted to see what the community would say about this, and whether or not others think it's a little off.  Thanks.

@Kie1

The child graduating is a family member and she will attend with her parents (for example) ?

Thanks for your quick response Emiel.....I think there are probably several good explanations, but the guest's message says it's for 'her' daughter and Airbnb is indicating her ID says she's under 25.  Really didn't want to have a questionable situation like this for my first booking....ugh.

@Kie1  Possibly she is booking under her child's account.

"Dear <guest>, we are looking forward to hosting you on <date>! I just wanted to check in with you about one thing: you noted that you're coming to town for your child's graduation, but Airbnb tells me your i.d. indicates you're under 25. So unless your child is extremely precocious it looks like maybe we have some kind of mix-up. 🙂 Third-party bookings are not allowed by Airbnb's terms of service and as a brand new host I just want to make sure all my i's are dotted and t's are crossed. May I ask you just to confirm that you are <name> and you will personally be staying with us? Thank you!"

If she says she's not then ask her to create her own account and book using that.

Thanks Lisa....very helpful and I'm going to reach out to the guest to try and get some clarification.
