Full refund from host

Hi there,

A guest of mine ( had booked my place for 3 weeks ), few hours after his arrival in my home is saying that he is not happy with my place and wants to leave and have a  full refund. He is presenting my place as a very bad place to stay.

I am hosting for the last 14 months, I am a superhost and I have 37 positive reviews ( score 4.9), never experienced smth like that before. 

What should I do ?

Bear in mind that I lost already few opportunities to host other guests for the same period that the guest wants a full refund.

I would just tell him Airbnb deals with all the refunds & that he will need to deal with them. Airbnb will properly refund him based on your cancellation policy 🙂

@Vasilis43It seems that you have strict cancellation policy in your listing. You may just tell the guest that he can cancel the booking. The refund will be handled by Airbnb based on the cancellation policy.

 

Most likely Airbnb would tell you to refund the unused nights after the guest contact Airbnb. But please stick with your cancellation rule. No matter what the guest would be not happy and probably leave you a bad review. Do not take both losses.

 

Could you tell what the reason the guest wanted to cancel was? Did the guest say why your place is bad?
