Getting address without a booking?

The other day two people came to my address saying they had booked my place when i looked at my bookings they hadnt but had made a booking somewhere elce but had looked at my place as i saw the print out .How did they get my address etc without making a booking with me.I didnt think people could get the address untill they had booked.

It is really easy, every listing is shown on the map, you zoom in and can find a street, go to the google maps/satellite view and you can find a house and when you find it then it is easy to find out the number

The other possibility is if someone duplicated your listing and published it on a false Airbnb site or some other scum website making them a victim of a fraud.

What "proof" of their "booking" they could show you ?

I saw the paper work they had printed but they then decided to book somewhere else . They also had my phone number. I only thought abiotic this after they saw they were at the wrong place. Lovely couple
