Guest battling with the app and payment. She wants to book as I have pre approved her.

I ave just pre appoved this guest for a booking for tomorrow , but she is frustrated as she says "I am battling with this app and payment thing??? Please is there a number I can phone to get a reference and account number to make payment without all this red tape? I am so not able to do this."

I do not want to loose this booking.

I lost a booking last month as the guest could not uploard his I/D.

@Carol322  All the ways of contacting Airbnb are outlined at the top of the forum you are currently posting in under CONTACT AIRBNB.

It is up the guest not you to sort this out.

I would always be wary about taking a last minute booking from a new guest. If the payment doesn't go through for whatever reason, it is you, rather than Airbnb that ends up carrying the can. The guest stays, payment doesn't go through - you end up providing the service and not being paid.

Please don't pre approve last minute bookings. If the guest wants to book, then they can book. They don't need a pre-approval to do so.

Thanks for your reply. I always thought that I had to pre approve the guest to enable them to make the booking. This is the first last minute booking i have received.

Hello @Carol322,

The pre-approval option appears if the guest sends a reservation inquiry. As @Helen3 says, if they're ready to book they'll send a reservation request.

I would not recommend booking / accepting payment off the Airbnb platform.  You will loose any protections afforded you by Airbnb.  Often, scammers will try to get folks to book and accept payment off platform.  I understand you do not wish to loose the booking, however, you could be creating a huge problem for yourself.  The app is not hard to use.  I would question anyone indicating they are having a hard time using it and wanting to book off platform.  Beware!
